Image
Flight of a Feather - July 2022 Electrical ascension, A sense to stir a poet’s deep, Seizing memento etched with hue of honey, Drops as silkened tea leaf, mused with fair, A concubine, Undressed in gift and murmur, Gaze of reaper’s taste as hymn, Touched in glimpse to warm her spark to pray in fire, Subdued embrace, Lift her arch to bliss depart these walked streets of melt and art, How far is her poise down relate, Gather one to stir this crux, as satin’s prize…. A treasure’s Nine, To sip this root as kin…. Electrical position, Reflect as muse to softly nurse her nectar’s greet, Arrangement down slow victor’s throne, Her scream as shade, a penetrating piece as grave, This hymn of jade, Reflection’s gong. A song influenced as serene, image unveiled as a legacy -  As broken will,  May nurse in favor, Seasoned herbal tapestry, motioned at her waist, Time stands numb, A monarch glows as secret’s key, Untold through sell and violet orbs, down liquid sense to tie, A cup to m...

A Blend as A Dancer....

Greetings, Tea Enthusiasts: I recently created a special blend of tea, which I adore very much.... It consists of Rose Congou Chinese Black Tea - along with an Herbal tea blend of Belly Dancer Chai. I have created this flavorful, bold blend due to being a belly dancer, since my 20's. I am still dancing. The general flavor profile is floral, robust with sweetness of ginger and the calming effects of lavender flowers. I also enjoy writing poetry expressing my love of our Sacred Dance, as well as Tea. The liqour is a deep red/gold hue, enjoyed warmed, or iced. Thank you all, for continuing on this great journey of Tea, with me. Warmly, Princess Jamila <3

Summer in Seattle - A Blend from Friday Afternoon Tea, Seattle Washington

Greetings, Tea Enthusiasts: Hope you are all well.... I have recently purchased and adored another great tea blend from a very nice local tea house in the realm of Seattle, called Summer in Seattle. This fabulous blend is a base of Gunpowder Green Tea (My absolute Favorite Green Tea from China), hibiscus flower and Rose petals....a beautiful blend with notes of floral and smoky textures. I enjoy this tea sweetened with a bit of agave nectar, a type of natural sweetener. Thank you all, for continuing this journey of tea, with me. The tea exhibits a beautiful deep red liqour, brewed for 4-5 minutes, with warm water. I am sure this blend will be great iced as well. Warmly, Princess Jamila <3

Tsui Yu Oolong Tea - Hailing From Taiwan

Image
A Beautiful, well-balanced tea, hailing from Taiwan : Tsui Yu Oolong tea. This special type of Oolong tea was given to me as a sampled gift as part of an early birthday gift, to myself.  The general taste profile for this type of tea is nutty, vegetal and smooth, Slightly sweet with notes of spice and herbal character. It is quickly becoming a favorite type of Oolong tea. I made it in the traditional Chinese method of brewing tea, Gaiwan, a very old, yet still practiced artform of brewing tea, even in this modern age. I am part-Chinese, as being an avid tea drinker for many years is sacred as well as an integral aspect to my Chinese heritage, and culture. I also enjoy writing poetry in homage to tea. The color when brewed is a light green/gold liquor.  Best brewed in the Gaiwan method, for around 3-4 minutes. Most Oolongs taste well in this amount of brewing time. Oolong is a Chinese word which translates to Black Dragon.  I am a former concubine, as my Chinese name is Fl...

My Middle Name....

Greetings, tea enthusiasts: My given middle name, Nevada, inherited from my late grandmother from my late father's side of my family, translates to Mountain in Chinese/Native American, and Snowstorm in Spanish.... My ethnicities are: Filipina, Chinese, Cherokee Native, and African American. I grew up mainly speaking English. My Chinese name is Flying Mountain, which is connected to my middle name, Nevada. I am a former prostitute, as well as an avid tea drinker of many years. I feel that tea is a very vital and sacred component towards my fondness of being part-Chinese, having a revived love for tea, its many flavor notes, as well as healing benefits and qualities. I am also a poet, and greatly enjoy composing poetry surrounding my deep love of tea. Thank you all, for enjoying this great journey with me. I also enjoy learning about my Chinese heritage.... My absolute most favorite green tea hailing from China, is Gunpowder Green tea. I have learned recently, that gunpowder was act...

A New Year....

Greetings, Tea Enthusiasts: This is Princess Jamila, wishing you all a very blessed and happy new year! It has been a while, yet, I am returning. I hope you all are still enjoying my tea blog. I have been an avid tea drinker since I was a teenager. Tea, I feel, is a very integral and special part of my Asian heritage, being part-Chinese, as tea was first discovered in China. I hope you all have a safe new year, in 2022.... Warmly, Princess Jamila <3

Poetry About Tea: A Stir of Undine's Echoes

Her circuits stir... these moments fair in wane of pour: bitten Taqsim, states of dare, palms of ancient hymn, endured in chaste: Purity, unveiled: Time, attacked with vein of primrose: hues of ginger, placed with grace, and Love, so written: Goddess birthed with rose and senses, touched: bodice cloaked in muse and melt; gathering as Undine, crimson, sparks, aware, as Beauty's fingertips, so rush in purpose, arrangement: This Princess, hymned under skies, of red and silken lullabies; petals as listening close; inhaling undress, exhale her years, Sliding memento, pursue the cracks, of Time's sweet toning, Liquid coarse, to design in Casto Forca, senses tied,  in nurse of nectar, massaging gently, her flesh, in Slow: Hence in sonnet, Poet of dimension's dance, listen gently,  to her inner mild, in Scream... All but a serpent's sweetened seams: In this name, of Love: Time has never led astray, Her Voice.
